The scope of this particular project incorporated the need to increase accessibility and safety to the home of Wafa, a pediatrician with her own practice who lives with Muscular Dystrophy. The existing home was built 21 years ago to be an "accessible" home that included an elevator to all three floors. As her needs changed, Wafa found her morning routine of personal care becoming increasingly difficult and time consuming, leading to several falls in the shower due to the amount of energy she was exhausting just to get around. Wafa was persistent about finding a solution that addressed her key functional needs without compromising beauty. The Master Suite truly has her desired spa-like feel and has allowed her to cut the time needed to complete her morning routine in half.
