AFTER A FIRE DESTROYED THEIR ORIGINAL LOCATION, THE OWNERS OF THE COFFEE EXCHANGE OF PLEASANT RIDGE, WITH THE SUPPORT OF AN ENTIRE COMMUNITY BEHIND THEM, SET THEIR SIGHTS ON A NEW, LARGER LOCATION JUST UP THE STREET. BUILT IN 1930 AS A PACKARD DEALERSHIP, THE BUILDING HAS GONE THROUGH SEVERAL OTHER ITERATIONS AS A WAREHOUSE, RESTAURANT, AND MEDICAL OFFICE BEFORE WE BEGAN DEVELOPING A NEW DESIGN.

WE WORKED IN COLLABORATION WITH LEA IMMELL INTERIOR DESIGN TO CREATE A WARM AND WELCOMING SPACE TO GRAB A CUP OF COFFEE ON THE GO, HAVE A BEER OR GLASS OF WINE AND CATCH-UP WITH A FRIEND, SPEND SOME TIME WORKING, OR HOLD A LARGER GROUP GATHERING. IN ADDITION TO THE OPEN SEATING AREA, THE SPACE INCLUDES RETAIL SPACE, BAKING & PREP KITCHEN, AND A SOUND STUDIO FOR THE PLEASANT RIDGE COMMUNITY STREAMING RADIO STATION.
